GAP appoints new General Manager for Knowsley plant

GAP, the manufacturer, stockist and distributor of low maintenance building products has welcomed Danny Dean, who joins as General Manager at one of their factories located in Knowsley, Merseyside.

GAP started manufacturing their own brand of GRP composite doors and bi fold doors just over two years ago, from a large 80,000 sq ft manufacturing unit in Knowsley, that previously housed the widely respected Total Glass operation.

In such a short space of time, the team at the Knowsley plant have done an incredible job supplying top quality composite doors and bi fold doors to GAPs network of almost 100 depots nationwide. The strong growth month on month has led to the appointment of Danny to strengthen the management team within the plant and further ramp up production levels as demand continues to soar.

Danny commented on joining GAP: “I’m excited to be joining the team at Knowsley and being part of the next step in the plants development. We are looking forward to continuing to support the GAP depot network with high quality GRP composite doors and Aluminium bi folding doors.”

Richard Lee, GAP’s Commercial Director added: “It’s great to have Danny onboard, his skill set gained from a large-scale manufacturer will be invaluable in our quest to continue the success story of the Knowsley plant. What we have achieved already is a testament to the existing team that we are lucky to have in the plant and the addition of Danny as General Manager will only serve to bolster this.”
