As part of the Kelly’s Heroes Climb Kilimanjaro charity fundraiser, we are getting to know the team taking on the incredible challenge between 12-21 September 2024.

Next up we have the newest member of the team, Comp Door’s Stacey Rowley!

How long you’ve been there? One year

How long have you been in the glazing industry in total? One year

How are you preparing? I’m a very late arrival to the group so have been wearing my boots daily and frantically shopping to get all my kit ready. I’m heading to the Lake District next week so will tackle Helvellyn and Scarfell Pike as a practice with all my gear. My last big hike was Snowdon in June with my two daughters who also enjoy hiking (luckily!)

What are you least looking forward to? Not showering for five days

What are you most looking forward to? Waking up on the mountain surrounded by breathtaking views

What does Kelly’s Heroes mean to you? I have read all about the amazing work that Kelly’s Heroes do to support people suffering with their mental health and know how important this can be in a moment of crisis which is why I wanted to help raise money to support their fantastic work.
